Aion 2 Brings Back Ludra Raid on November 4 With New Mechanics and Player Events
Ludra returns November 4 with revised attacks, first-clear rewards, login bonuses, Twitch Drops and a screenshot contest.

Ludra’s return gives Aion 2 players a new shot at the MMORPG’s toughest raid, with a redesigned encounter and a fresh race to clear it. The fight comes back Wednesday, November 4, after NC removed it during advanced access because players defeated it earlier in progression than intended. This version will feature adjusted mechanics and attack patterns, so previous experience may help, but teams should expect to learn parts of the encounter again.

The original Ludra fight had only a brief run before its removal. Some players raised concerns about the speed of the clear and whether paid progression had helped make it possible. For most of the community, though, the immediate result was simpler: the raid was already beaten before they had a chance to take it on. NC says it reconsidered bringing back the same version after seeing how quickly the first encounter was cleared.
That decision makes the relaunch more than a routine raid opening. NC says it wants Sanctuary Raids to give players time to uncover mechanics together, develop strategies, compete for early clears and share the moment when a group finally succeeds. Ludra’s revised design is intended to give global players that shared discovery. Gear rewards earned during the encounter’s first appearance were temporarily removed, with NC promising to return them when the raid came back.
A revised fight and a new clear race
NC describes this Ludra as a distinct version, with new and adjusted mechanics and attack patterns. Familiarity with the earlier fight may still offer useful clues, but players shouldn’t assume their former tactics will carry a party through. The changes put renewed emphasis on learning the encounter and adapting as a group.
A first-clear event will recognize the fastest teams. Special titles are planned for the first party to finish, for the parties placing second through fifth, and for the rest of the top 20. That gives highly prepared groups an extra goal, while the revised fight leaves room for the wider player base to experience its mechanics without simply repeating a solved encounter.
Progression remains a practical factor. Players who are advancing through the game without spending may not reach the necessary level for Ludra on its first day. The event rewards offer ways to prepare, but they don’t guarantee every character will be raid-ready by November 4. There’s no need to treat the opening as a deadline: players can take on the encounter when their gear and group are ready.
Login bonuses and shared dungeon rewards
A login event runs from Wednesday, October 28, through Wednesday, November 11. Players receive two Odyle Energy through in-game mail for each daily check-in. The reward is available once per day per character, and each delivery must be claimed within seven days.
Daeva Bootcamp begins alongside Ludra on November 4 and continues through November 18. As players in each region clear eligible dungeons, those totals unlock rewards for everyone in that region. The reward track starts at 500,000 combined clears and has milestones reaching seven million. Because the unlocks are tied to collective dungeon activity, players can contribute even if they aren’t joining Ludra immediately.
The two-week period also includes seven days of login rewards, among them the Lush Leaf Tiara helmet. Twitch Drops run over the same period: viewers can earn rewards by watching up to 14 hours of Aion 2 streams. Together, the events give players several routes to collect items while the raid’s new version gets underway.

Show off a Ludra look
Players who would rather focus on appearance than raid progression can enter the Ludra Outfit Contest, running from November 4 to November 18. Each participant may submit one screenshot through the Aion 2 Discord. Entries must be direct captures from the game, with no editing or AI changes.
Submitting an entry earns two Dye Tokens. NC community managers will choose three favorites, with prizes of 6,000, 3,000 and 1,000 Quna for the top three. A separate prize of 3,000 Quna goes to the entry that receives the most positive reactions from the Discord community.
With the revised encounter, clear titles and events spread across two weeks, Ludra’s return is set up as a shared progression moment as much as a test for top-end groups. The key date is November 4; from there, players can choose whether to race for a title, help push regional dungeon milestones or build up their character before taking on the dragon.

For the complete details on the encounter’s return, see NC’s Ludra notice. Players planning to enter the screenshot contest can also check the contest details.
The relaunch leaves two useful dates to keep in view: October 28 for the start of daily Odyle Energy, and November 4 for the raid and its surrounding events. Whether players arrive ready to compete or take time to build up, this version of Ludra is designed to give the community a fresh encounter to work through together.
