11 New Steam Deck Verified and Playable Games to Check Out

This week’s Steam Deck picks span action RPGs, survival horror, city-building and co-op, with four upcoming releases to watch.

11 New Steam Deck Verified and Playable Games to Check Out

Eleven games earned Steam Deck Verified or Playable ratings for the week of October 26 to November 1, 2026. The lineup ranges from a retro-fantasy action RPG and a remastered narrative thriller to a cooperative submarine sim. Four titles are marked Playable, with notes about text size, controller icons or settings that may take some adjustment.

Verified and Playable ratings offer a useful first look at handheld compatibility, but they don’t guarantee every game will feel ready to go without tweaking. Here’s what each rating covers, along with prices and release dates listed for this week’s picks.

Action, horror and strategy

Queen’s Domain is a retro-fantasy action RPG rated Verified. After washing ashore on the Isle of Neasied, players set out to find their father and uncover the island’s secrets. It’s listed at $16.99 on sale through November 6.

Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy, the trilogy’s final chapter, also earned Verified status. Its survival horror story sends players into a nightmare to save a kidnapped daughter and uncover the Red Nun’s truth. Retro-cognition, mirror abilities and moth manipulation feature in its mix of classic horror and Italian neo-giallo style. The listed price is $29.99.

For a different kind of strategic challenge, The King is Watching combines kingdom-building with roguelite runs. Players choose whether to produce resources, train armies or balance both, then adapt to events as each run unfolds. It’s Verified and listed at $14.99.

Ayasa: Shadows of Silence takes a wordless approach to puzzle-platforming. Its six surreal lands rely on light to reveal paths, while environmental puzzles and choices between compassion and indifference shape the fate of a world nearing ruin. The game is Verified and listed at $19.99.

Playable picks and upcoming releases

Active Matter is a realistic shooter built around raids and player-versus-player or player-versus-environment battles in a fractured multiverse. Players fight in quantum-unstable zones for control of a substance that bends time and space. It’s listed at $29.99 and rated Playable because its in-game text is small.

Theos: Cities of Myth puts a myth-inspired spin on city-building. Players develop a metropolis devoted to one of seven Greek deities, build a sanctuary and meet residents’ needs. Its November 4 release is marked Playable; the rating notes small text, incorrect controller icons and the need for a community controller layout.

Two more Verified games arrive soon. Chivalware launches November 5, bringing tile-matching into a real-time action roguelite. Players dodge attacks on a grid, match tiles to charge weapons, then look for an opening to strike.

TANUKI: Pon’s Summer follows Pon, a well-meaning, somewhat lazy tanuki with a part-time postal job. With the Tanuki Festival a month away and the shrine in disrepair, Pon delivers packages, makes friends and works to restore it before summer ends. It launches November 10 and is Verified.

The Wolf Among Us Remastered returns to Fabletown with enhanced visuals and a modern presentation. This Playable-rated edition revisits Bigby Wolf’s first investigation in the noir thriller inspired by DC’s Fables comic series. It’s on sale for $12.49 through November 12. Players may need to change the graphics settings manually for optimal play.

Rounding out the list, S.O.N.A.R. – Submarine Operators Not Actually Ready is a Verified co-op sim for one to six players. Its crew must coordinate sonar, piloting, combat and repairs, with a wrong button potentially sending the submarine down. The game is on sale for $8.49 through November 12.

For the most plug-and-play options, seven of the eleven games carry Verified ratings. The four Playable picks include specific usability notes, so players may want to check those details before jumping in. Last week’s list featured ANOMALITH, Minecraft Dungeons 2 and One Piece: Grand Gourmet.
