Phantom Blade Zero: Where to Find the Feather Bow
Earn the Feather Bow by helping an archer near Sha-Chi Tower. The Phantom Edge lets you shoot down items caught in trees.

The Feather Bow is more than a way to collect objects hanging from trees in Phantom Blade Zero. It’s the game’s first Phantom Edge, a special weapon that can also serve as a tool while exploring. The catch is that the first red bow icon appears before you can use one, and the game doesn’t spell out how to get the weapon. You’ll need to continue through the opening area, find an archer near Sha-Chi Tower, then return to the outpost to claim his bow.

What the Feather Bow does
Phantom Edges are special weapons with limited uses in combat encounters. They can also have uses outside a fight, and the Feather Bow is a clear example of that split: it can be used in combat, but its exploration role is the one that first draws attention. When you see an object hanging from a tree and a red bow icon appears, the game is indicating that a bow can bring it down.
That early marker can be misleading if you expect the bow to be available immediately. You don’t need to find a hidden weapon beside the first tree or search every nearby path. The Feather Bow comes later in the first area, so the practical move is to remember the tree and keep following the main route. Once you have the weapon, you can return to the marked spot and collect what was out of reach.
Continue past the first bow marker
Make your way through the opening area and continue past the main outpost. The route to the Feather Bow takes you through a major encounter with The Axemaster, so this isn’t a quick detour you can complete as soon as the first icon appears. After defeating him, keep moving towards Sha-Chi Tower.
The destination is the Ruthless Archer Camp, located up a hill on the left as you reach the area below the tower. It’s close to the wooden bridge that leads towards the large structure. That landmark should help you narrow down where to look: as you approach the tower and bridge, check the slope to your left rather than pressing straight ahead.

Find the archer at the camp
Climb the hill and look for another red bow icon in a tree. Stairs nearby lead to a bell you can interact with. In the wooden hut, you’ll find an archer slumped against a wall and holding his bow. Speak to him. He’ll give you something before he dies, setting up the next step in the search.
The visit to the camp doesn’t put the Feather Bow straight into your hands. After speaking with the archer, interact with the bell again and fast travel to the Outpost location. From there, head back down the stairs towards the tree with the bow icon. A man sitting on top of a building is waiting there.

Return to the outpost for the Feather Bow
Speak with the man on the building. He’ll thank you for finding the archer and give you the bow. That completes the retrieval: the Feather Bow is now yours as a Phantom Edge, and you can use it to shoot down the items hanging in trees, including the one that first showed you the red icon.

The route is easy to remember as a two-part return trip: first, push beyond the outpost and defeat The Axemaster to reach the archer camp; then, after speaking with the archer, use the bell to travel back and collect the bow from the man near the original marker. If an object in a tree is still waiting when you pass it early on, that’s a sign to come back later rather than a clue that you missed a nearby pickup.
Once the Feather Bow is in hand, the first tree marker becomes useful instead of frustrating. Keep an eye out for similar red bow icons as you explore, and treat the weapon as both a limited-use combat option and a way to reach things beyond your normal range.
